Walliams Class

Welcome to the Walliams Class webpage.

Miss Churchill

Welcome to Walliams class – Miss Churchill  is our teacher and Ms Tanju is our amazing teaching assistant.

Our class is named after the author David Walliams. He was born locally and went to school in Wallington. He has written lots of exciting and stimulating books such as: ‘Mr Stink’, ‘Gangsta Granny’, ‘Billionaire Boy’ and ‘The Boy in the Dress’.
Our bright and colourful classroom is themed around the wonderful world of games and provides a variety of learning prompts and opportunities. Our classroom is full of surprises- see if you can identify all the games!

This year, we will be exploring three different topics which are:

Autumn Term – Anglo-Saxons
You can probably guess that this topic will cover the Anglo-Saxons! We will be looking at life in 400AD, how people lived, the areas they developed and how England changed during this time.

Spring Term – Northern Lights
Within this topic, we will be learning all about the Vikings! Looking at the life during the invasion and through to the first King of England.

Summer Term – Cyberspace
This topic will look at how technology influences our lives.

The children in Walliams class can earn coins for outstanding effort in their learning, excellent behaviour and for going above and beyond expectations. They can then ‘spend’ these coins on special rewards.

Walliams class will be lucky enough to attend swimming lessons during the autumn term. Take a look at our curriculum maps to see more about what we are learning this year!
