In 2014, Beddington Park Primary School began its journey towards achieving the Rights Respecting Schools Award.
The Unicef UK Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) supports schools across the UK to embed children’s human rights in their ethos and culture. The award recognises achievement in putting the UN Convention on the Right of the Child (UNCRC) at the heart of a school’s practice to improve well-being and help all children realise their potential.
At Beddington Park Primary School, we have chosen to participate in the Rights Respecting Schools Award because of its principles of equality, dignity, respect, non-discrimination and participation. These principles coincide with our school mottos: Politeness, Manners and Respect; Learning, Sharing and Growing Together as Friends.
Mrs Arnold is our RRSA lead teacher, who is supported by our RRSA pupil ambassadors.

Best decision I made.
Very pleased with my son’s progression in his speech, as this was my biggest concern coming into a new school.
He loves coming in each day.
