Governing Body

The Governing Body decides the overall strategic direction of our school!

As parents, carers and community members, you will want to know who sits on the Governing Body of Beddington Park Primary School.  Governors work together as a body to oversee the strategic direction and management of the school.  Our governing body is made up of a people with a wide variety of skills, professional experience and experiences.  It is very important that we also include parent and carer representation on the Governing Body.  If you are interested in finding out more about this voluntary role and the amount of time, dedication and commitment needed to fulfil it to the full, please feel free to call Miss Kokkides, Clerk to the Governing Body for more information.  Parents and carers should also feel free to arrange meetings with Mrs Hendry, Chair of the Governing Body, at a mutually convenient time.  This can also be arranged by contacting Ms Saunders on the school number.

Governors are required to sit at a Full Governing Body meeting, held at least once every term.  In addition, they will also sit on up to three separate committees. These are the Finance and Personnel Committee, the Premises Committee and the Community, Curriculum and Assessment Committee.  As Executive Headteacher and Deputy Executive Headteacher, Mr Cooke, Mrs Arnold and Miss Clarkson will sit on all committees.
