OFSTED is an acronym that stands for ‘Office For Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills’ (the ‘children’s services and skills’ being added subsequent to the acronym becoming widely known!). It is a non-ministerial department of the government, and is responsible for ensuring that schools, together with all education and children’s services providers, offer high quality, effective and safe provision.
Beddington Park Primary was last inspected in May 2018. Our very strong Good grade was validated and the inspector was happy to tell us that many aspects of our practice were at an outstanding level.
Here are some key extracts from our May 2018 report:
“Your expectations are high and you make no excuses for this because you want pupils to succeed.”
“Pupils are overwhelmingly positive about the school. They said that there is nothing that they would change.”
“Learning, sharing and growing together is our school motto and it accurately reflects our school.”
“You have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour. During the inspection, all pupils behaved well in class and when moving around the school. Pupils said that behaviour is good.”
“Good progress is evident in pupils’ books.”
Please feel free to get in contact if you would like any further information regarding OFSTED, or to come and see how those wonderful statements above translate to the vibrant, caring and exciting everyday life of our school! Best decision I made.
Very pleased with my son’s progression in his speech, as this was my biggest concern coming into a new school.
He loves coming in each day.
